The project comprised three films, each one to two minutes long, with a distinct focus on labour migration, human trafficking, and legal migration pathways. Designed for clarity and broad public reach, the videos combined real-world perspectives with concise, accessible storytelling. We produced a short documentary-style film for the Public Health Conference 2025, which brought together national and international partners to focus on migrant health and universal health coverage in the Maldives. The 1.5-minute video captured the daily lives, work environments, and personal stories of migrant workers across sectors including tourism, construction, healthcare, and services, highlighting their contributions and lived experiences.
Filmed across multiple atolls in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration Sri Lanka and Maldives, the World Health Organization Maldives, the Health Protection Agency, and the The Maldives National University, the film explored access to health services while reinforcing messages of inclusion, dignity, and safe working and living conditions. Designed to support dialogue and advocacy, the video contributed to discussions on evidence-based migrant health policies and more inclusive health systems.

The live-action videos focused on lived experiences, featuring elderly individuals and persons with disabilities to bring authenticity and emotional depth to the stories. We handled the full production process from scripting and coordination to filming, editing, and final delivery, with accessibility built in from the start through subtitles, sign language, and audio description.

For the 2024 Parliamentary Elections, we developed the Engema campaign to spread important voter awareness information in an engaging and accessible way. We created live-action drama skits that explained key topics such as avoiding vote selling, respecting campaign rules, documents needed to vote, accessibility features for persons with disabilities, and the benefits of early voting. We managed the full creative process, including coming up with the Engemaname, developing the branding, scripting the videos, filming, and editing. In addition to the live-action videos, we created motion graphics, social media quizzes, graphic posts, and even merchandise for contest winners, while supporting ECM and IFES in managing their official social media pages. The videos were broadcast on television and shared across official social media channels, serving as the formal voter awareness content for the parliamentary elections and reaching a wide audience across the Maldives.

In the lead-up to the 2024 Parliamentary Elections, we produced the Power to Persuade campaign to raise awareness on the importance of accessible information for persons with disabilities. We collaborated closely with individuals who are blind or have low vision, d/Deaf or hard of hearing, have mobility impairments, or have intellectual disabilities, consulting with them online to understand the messages they wanted to convey. Their input guided the development of video concepts, and we incorporated their feedback at every stage to ensure the content was accurate, respectful, and representative. The campaign featured only persons with disabilities, and to ensure broader representation beyond Malé, we traveled to two other islands to film participants. By highlighting both electoral and everyday accessibility, these videos promoted inclusion and reinforced the message that everyone deserves equal access to information.
